Structural characteristics and maintenance analysis of hydraulic system and oil cylinder of injection molding machine

The equipment that uses plastic molding molds to produce various sizes, forms, and uses of thermosetting plastics or thermoplastic plastics is called an injection molding machine. To complete the main function of producing plastic products, injection molding machines must require the hydraulic control part of the injection molding machine to perform its normal function. Based on the importance of hydraulic control in injection molding machine equipment, the author analyzed the characteristics of the oil cylinder in the hydraulic system of the injection molding machine, aiming to find an effective method to maintain the hydraulic system and oil cylinder of the injection molding machine, achieve better performance in the plastic processing industry, and promote social construction and economic development.

 

1. Structural characteristics of hydraulic system cylinders in injection molding machines

 

1.1 Overview of Injection Molding Machine Hydraulic System

 

Injection molding machine and injection molding machine are other names for injection molding machines. They are equipment that uses plastic molding molds to produce various sizes, forms, and uses of thermosetting plastics or thermoplastic plastics. In our daily lives, common injection molding machines are mainly divided into three categories: fully electric injection molding machines, vertical injection molding machines, and horizontal injection molding machines. Although these three categories of injection molding machines have slight differences in their uses, their composition is generally composed of several parts such as hydraulic transmission system, injection system, mold closing system, heating and cooling system, lubrication system, safety monitoring system, and electrical control system. The reason why injection molding machines can produce various types of plastic products is because the various systems of the injection molding machine itself work together to melt the plastic raw materials, and then use the hydraulic high-pressure system of the equipment to spray the melted plastic into the pre prepared mold cavity.

 

1.2 Structural characteristics statistics of hydraulic system cylinders in injection molding machines

 

To complete the main function of producing plastic products, injection molding machines must require the hydraulic control part of the injection molding machine to perform its normal function. Based on the importance of hydraulic control in injection molding machine equipment, the author conducted a statistical analysis of the structural characteristics of the hydraulic cylinder in the injection molding machine hydraulic control system.

 

1.2.1 Piston type oil cylinder

 

In order to explore the structural characteristics and maintenance methods of the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine, the author conducted research on the piston type cylinder structure of the injection molding machine. The author found that the main components of a piston type oil cylinder are: piston, cylinder body, end plate, sealing ring, and piston rod. Due to its inherent advantages, piston type oil cylinders are commonly used in hydraulic transmission systems. In the process of studying piston type oil cylinders, the author found that the working principle of piston type oil cylinders is mainly to alternately deliver hydraulic oil to both sides of the piston in the cylinder, and use the pressure difference between the hydraulic oil on both sides of the piston to achieve the reciprocating motion of the piston.

 

1.2.2 Piston type oil cylinder

 

In order to explore the structural characteristics and maintenance methods of the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine, the author conducted research on the piston type cylinder structure of the injection molding machine. The author found that the main components of a plunger type oil cylinder are: plunger, cylinder body, guide sleeve, end cover, and sealing rubber ring. When studying plunger type oil cylinders, the author found that the main difference between piston type oil cylinders and plunger type oil cylinders lies in the different piston forms of piston type oil cylinders and plunger type oil cylinders. The latter uses a cylindrical piston form, which determines the intelligent use of plunger type oil cylinders in transmission with longer mechanical stroke.

 

1.2.3 Composite oil cylinder

 

When the composite oil cylinder is working, hydraulic oil enters the cylinder from the plunger hole, causing the mold clamping device to move forward quickly; When the mold is close to termination, when the locking cylinder (piston cylinder) enters the hydraulic cylinder, the stroke speed slows down, making the locking force reach the required tonnage. This type of hydraulic cylinder that works in conjunction with a piston type is called a composite hydraulic cylinder.

 

2. Maintenance and upkeep of the hydraulic system and cylinder of the injection molding machine

 

After studying the structural characteristics of the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine, the author combined his practical experience with a large amount of theoretical analysis, and formulated maintenance strategies for the hydraulic system and cylinder of the injection molding machine based on the structural characteristics of the hydraulic system cylinder. When analyzing the maintenance plan for the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine, the maintenance plan for the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine formulated by the author is mainly aimed at common faults of the hydraulic system and cylinder of the injection molding machine.

 

2.1 In order to ensure that there is no leakage at the piston rod and hydraulic transmission joint of the hydraulic system cylinder of the injection molding machine during daily use, we can avoid leakage accidents by regularly and regularly checking whether there is any leakage at the joint parts of the hydraulic system of the injection molding machine. Once leakage is found in the hydraulic system of the injection molding machine during inspection, the leaking area must be repaired in a timely manner, and the leaked oil must be cleaned in a timely manner.

 

When installing pipelines, it is necessary to ensure that the flange end faces and threads are cleaned and leveled. When fixing screws, it is also important to apply even force.

 

2.3 Control the working temperature of the hydraulic system of the injection molding machine to ensure that the working temperature does not exceed 55 degrees Celsius. Once the system temperature rises, it must be cooled down using the cold water cooling method.

 

During the use of the injection molding machine, it is necessary to regularly check the oil level, pump pressure, and cleanliness of the pressure oil. When encountering humid weather, it is necessary to check the concentration of pressure oil daily, and also regularly check the water pipes to prevent water from mixing into the pressure oil and causing blockage of the oil filter. Regularly check the fuel tank, keep it clean, and prevent debris from falling in. When the oil level is not high enough, pressure oil should be replenished in a timely manner. For lubrication of various moving parts, travel switches, oil hoses, and joint parts, a routine inspection should be conducted once a week to check for oil leakage.

 

2.5 The hydraulic oil should be replaced in a timely manner in strict accordance with the operating procedures of the injection molding machine (usually once every one to two years depending on the operation situation), and the oil tank and filter should be cleaned to prevent blockage of the oil circuit and poor operation of the equipment.

 

3. Summary

 

Reasonable, effective, and scientific maintenance of the hydraulic system cylinder of injection molding machines is a prerequisite for ensuring efficient operation of injection molding machines. Only plastic manufacturers can achieve the goal of safe and stable production by completing the maintenance of the hydraulic system cylinder of injection molding machines in a reasonable and effective manner.
